4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking from Kigali

This 4 Days Uganda gorilla trekking trip from Kigali, Rwanda, is designed for people who have a limited amount of time available but still want to see mountain gorillas. By beginning the trek in Kigali, travelers can avoid spending a significant amount of time traveling to Bwindi from Entebbe. This tour provides a hassle-free opportunity to arrive at any time in Kigali and begin the journey to Bwindi, which is around -/+ 5 hours of driving time including crossing the border and making use of the cheap gorilla permit in Uganda.

Day 1: Arrival, a meet-and-greet, and a transfer to Lake Mutanda or Bwindi.

Upon Arriving at the Kanombe terminal of the Kigali International Airport (Recommended to arrive in the morning). You will be greeted by our representative, who will serve as both your guide and driver for the course of the next four days. Following the short orientation, you will next transfer to the starting point of the City tour. You will now go to the Gisozi genocide Museum to take a tour of the genocide that occurred in Rwanda in 1994. This will take approximately 2 hours, and then you will go to the Lake Mutanda resort across the Cyanika border.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking day.

In the Bwindi Forest, today is the day that the “Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience” will take place. After a hearty and early breakfast, you will get in your vehicle and proceed to Rushaga or Nkuringo, where you will be briefed on the mountain gorilla trek. This trip should take between one and two hours. You will be instructed upon arrival, and you will then join seven other visitors to form a party of eight, and you will then descend into the bush in search of giant apes. There is no questioning the connection that exists between humans and apes while you are in their presence throughout the allotted time for your contact with them, which is one hour. The time it takes can range anywhere from four to eight hours, depending on the location and how the gorillas wander around. After some time has passed, you will make your way back to the beginning of the walk in order to collect your certificate of completion.

Day 3: Lake Mutanda Boat & Coffee plantation tour

Your memories of the gorilla hike will start to fade away today, so give yourself some time to unwind and enjoy yourself. You will begin your day with a leisurely breakfast, and then you will get ready for a dugout canoe excursion on Lake Mutanda. When you have finished exploring some of the islands and caves that are located on the placid waters, your guide will help you canoe all the way to the very end of the lake. Your tour guide will meet you there and take you on the next leg of your adventure, which will be a local experience with a coffee tour in a homestead. It is dubbed the farm-to-cup coffee experience, and it will involve showing you how coffee is grown, peeled, and roasted before letting you drink a cup of coffee that you have produced yourself. Once some time has passed, we will make our way back to the lodge by way of the town of Kisoro.

Day 4: A return trip to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda

Today, we will be making our way back to Kigali via the Cyanika border, which offers some breathtaking vistas along the way. On the road from Musanze to Kigali, passing through the Virunga and the gorgeous hills is an absolutely breathtaking and enjoyable experience. You will either be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your connection, and it will depend on which flight you are on.
