10 Days Uganda Classic Primate Safari Experience

See the best of Uganda’s primates and animals in refined comfort, and you’ll be rewarded with an enlightening travel experience. The 10 Days offer a more laid-back experience while also optimizing the amount of time spent at lodges. As you soar above Uganda’s breathtaking landscapes, you’ll be treated to views of the country’s abundant primate and wildlife populations. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet some of humankind’s closest ancestors, all while unwinding by the Nile River and dozing off in one of Uganda’s luxurious lodges.

Day 1: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park, where you can see primates and other wildlife.

You will be taken by our driver guide to Entebbe Airstrip upon arrival, following a briefing, so that you can catch your connecting flight to Murchison falls national park in the northwestern region of Uganda. You will be transferred to the resort that looks out over the placid waters of the Nile River as soon as you arrive.

Bakers Lodge or Murchison River Lodge will be your home for the night.

Day 2 will consist of a Gamedrive as well as a Private Nile Boat Cruise.

After a quick breakfast this morning, you will make your way to the ferry to transfer to the northern banks so that you can go on a game drive in the morning. During the middle of the game drive, when you are out viewing the incredible animals, you will stop for a brunch in the bush. Later on in the afternoon, you will board a private boat for a tour that will take you all the way to the base of the falls. After that, we will make our way back to the lodge for an evening meal around the campfire.

Bakers Lodge or Murchison River Lodge will be your home for the night.

Day 3: Fly to Kibale National Park, then transfer to the park.

You will make your way to the Bugungu Airstrip this morning in preparation for your flight transfer to the Kasese Airstrip. After being greeted by a driving guide, you will be transferred to Fort Portal, which is approximately a two-hour drive away. You can choose to spend the remainder of the day at the stunning lodge lounging by the pool with a view of the crater lake or going on a nature walk surrounding the resort.

Spend the night at either the Kyaninga Lodge or the Ndali Lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and a tour of Bigodi Swamp

This morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Bigodi on the outskirts of Kibale Forest National Park for the swamp tour. This is a very rewarding nature walk that offers the opportunity to see a large number of monkeys, fauna, birds, and plants. After that, you will make your way to Kibale for the chimpanzee tracking experience in the afternoon. Make your way back to the lodge in time for supper.

Spend the night at either the Kyaninga Lodge or the Ndali Lodge.

Following a leisurely breakfast, you will make your way to the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park via road transfer. You are going to arrive in plenty of time for lunch, and then later in the afternoon, you are going to go on a wildlife drive to look for those famed tree climbing lions. Bring the game to a close with a spectacular sundowner.

Ishasha Jungle Lodge or Ishasha Wilderness Lodge will be your home for the night.
