Itinerary for a Tour
Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park on Day 1.

Our company representative will pick you up from your Kigali hotel or the airport and take you on a tour of the city, including the Gisozi genocide site and local markets, before travelling north to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze region, formerly Ruhengeri. Arrive late and check in to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range), or Muhabura Hotel (Basic).
Gorilla Tracking – Ibywacu Cultural Village on Day 2

After breakfast at your accommodation, you will depart with the essential tracking equipment and a packed lunch to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the unforgettable trip with the ranger guides. Because gorillas are wildlife animals in the jungle, the time spent hiking for gorillas is significantly dependent on the gorillas’ current location. However, your ranger guide has a good notion of where they are since he connects with his colleagues who go into the jungle early to track gorilla activities. It is highly recommended that you arrive equipped with the essential equipment and a picnic lunch before embarking on the difficult but entertaining trip. A maximum of one hour with the gorillas is permitted.

After the encounter, return to your accommodation for lunch, and then have a cultural experience at the Ibyiwacu cultural hamlet to learn about Banyarwanda culture in the afternoon. Dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking / Dain Fossey Hike – Visit Ruhondo & Burera Twin Lakes

In the morning, you will need to go tracking primates such as golden monkeys, baboons, and others. Alternatively, walk to Dian Fossey’s mausoleum and the ruins of the Karisoke research centre. After lunch, take a tour to the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Return for dinner or stay the night.
Day 4: Mt. Bisoke 3711 Metres Hike

A one-day walk up and down the Bisoke demands you to be in extremely good shape and determined to finish. After an early breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the Kinigi headquarters by 7 a.m. for registration and a briefing from your ranger guides. By 8 a.m., you leave in your automobiles and transfer to the hike’s starting site. From here, you can acquire hiking sticks and hire a porter to carry your pack. Then the ascent of Bisoke begins.Return for dinner and stay the night.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Kivu for a boat ride to Nyamurundi Island.

Breakfast at the lodge, followed by a trip to Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is Rwanda’s largest fresh water lake, providing travellers with a pleasant setting while in the country. A boat ride along Lake Kivu will be included, as will a visit to Nyamirundi Island. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel (Luxury), Palm Gardens Resort (Deluxe), or Paradise Marahide (Budget).
Day 6: Departure from Kigali for a city tour.

Breakfast at the lodge, then return to Kigali for a beautiful city tour. Expect to visit historical sites like as the genocide memorial site and the national museum. After lunch, we’ll drop you off to your hotel or the airport.

Safari has come to an end.
