4 Days Uganda Double Gorilla Trekking Fly in Safari
Four-Day Double Gorilla Hiking Safari Fly into Uganda’s jungle location and discover the country’s most famous resident: the Mountain Gorilla. This package gives you the opportunity to satisfy your craving for being in the presence of a mountain gorilla by granting you two intimate encounters with these gentle giants over the course of your stay. The first is known as the Trekking experience, and the second is known as the Habituation experience. During the Habituation experience, you spend approximately four hours with the gentle giants, either trekking or trailing them deeper into the forest. This excursion includes overnight stays in some of Uganda’s most luxurious safari lodges. On the day of your arrival, our Driver Guide will pick you up at the airport and provide a transfer to the hotel. Visit the town of Entebbe, which is home to a wildlife education center, and spend the majority of the day lounging by the pool while finishing the chapter you were on. Alternatively, you might spend the day exploring the surrounding area.
Day 1: Transfer to Entebbe Airport for Your Flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Kisoro Airstrip
This morning, you will be transferred to Entebbe airport in preparation for your flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Kisoro Airstrip. The flight takes around an hour and a half, and after you arrive, you will be welcomed by another guide who will transfer you to your lodge in a process that takes about two hours. You are going to pay a visit in the afternoon to the Batwa community that resides in Nkuringo. These people are known as the Godfathers of the Forest. Day 2: Enjoy the gorilla trekking.
In the early hours of today, you will make your way deeper into the jungle, accompanied by Ranger guides and porters, in order to look for mountain gorillas. The hike begins at 8:00 in the morning with a briefing and then continues onward into the bush. The amount of time spent on the journey might range anywhere from four to seven hours depending on the location of the gorillas’ most recent sighting. After winding down for the day, make your way back to the lodge and spend the rest of the evening enjoying a sundowner before gathering around a campfire. Spend the night at either the Nkuringo Lodge or the Clouds Mountain Resort.
Day 3: The Gorilla Habituation Experience
Today, just like the day before, embark on another wonderful trip hunting for the gentle giants of Bwindi. Nevertheless, this time it begins so early that you are required to begin with the gorillas at the same time as they begin their daily duties. Once located, you will have the opportunity to spend four hours with the gorillas and gain insight into their day-to-day activities. This provides you with additional knowledge, and you also get the opportunity to see what you missed the day before. After winding down for the day, make your way back to the lodge for a sundowner and then enjoy the remainder of the evening around a campfire before calling it a night. Day 4: Fly back to Entebbe
The flight back to Entebbe leaves at 8 in the morning. You will be transferred to the Kisoro airstrip by your guide and driver in preparation for your chartered flight back to Entebbe. Your outward or departure flight will determine whether you can spend the rest of the day lounging by the pool or waiting at the airport for your connecting flight. Either way, you have the option.
